About UsersGroup.TV

UsersGroup.TV started out with an award-winning creative team internationally known for its cutting edge innovation and artistry for over 16 years. Our Member producers, writers, designers, composers, directors and programmers have brought intelligence, wit and tecnological smarts to many projects. And with state-of-the-art, in-house facilities, we are capable of delivering single-source media solutions with speed and style.

Public Access Incorporated, parent organization of UsersGroup.TV, has been a community resource since the official enactment of the FCC Public Access Act in 1984. Public Access Inc's dedication to the production and presentation of all forms of TV delivery, often at the start up stage, has assisted and helped create: arts and entertainment partnerships, arts and technology education, radio productions, an Artist Support Program, a Writers Program and a New Music Residency Program. Public Access Inc. also operates a full-service studio that can be rented by the hour.

History

Public Access Foundation was founded in 1984 by a group of educators, artists, and journalists with the goal of starting one of the first non-commercial community television  networks in the country. Public Access' main purpose was to present a forum for the discussion and presentation of science, arts and public affairs programming. Public Access was formed at a time of progressing technology, when relatively few non-network TV broadcasting venues existed and community TV was almost unheard of, primarily because there was no legislation to require and standardize it.

When Public Access began , its signature was unique and audacious programming, created by an eclectic mix of writers, producers, designers, artists, musicians and visionary thinkers. Since 1984, the Foundation continued to produce and present innovative and neglected community programming. Our ambitions now with UsersGroup.TV are to help launch new DotTV custom-modeled programming to suit niche audience requirements, and to push the envelope of new format, hybrid Net TV development.
